Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Daylance ("the app", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Daylance, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What Daylance provides
Daylance is a calendar-led cash-flow planner. You log accounts, income, spending, transfers, and recurring plans so you can see projected balances by day. Daylance does not move money, connect to banks, file taxes, or provide financial, legal, or investment advice. Forecasts are projections from the data you enter, not guarantees.
Eligibility
You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live and comply with applicable app store rules. If you use Daylance on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Accounts, spaces, and your content
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- You retain ownership of the ledger data and other content you submit. You grant us the rights needed to operate the service, including storing, processing, syncing, and displaying your content back to you and to members of spaces you share.
- If you invite someone to a space, you are responsible for choosing an appropriate role and for the data they can see. Do not invite people who should not have access to that ledger.
- Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or abusive content, or attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, scrape, or misuse the service.
Free features and Daylance Pro
Free Daylance includes one space and no added members. Daylance Pro unlocks unlimited spaces and members, as shown in the app at the time you subscribe.
Daylance Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store. Pricing, billing period, and any store-managed free trial are shown in the app before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your device account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel billing.
- Restore purchases from inside the app if you reinstall Daylance or switch devices, using the same Apple ID you originally used to subscribe.
Financial disclaimer
Daylance is a planning tool. It is not a bank, payment processor, accountant, or advisor. Balances, forecasts, splits, and insights can be incomplete or incorrect if the entries you log are incomplete or incorrect. Do not rely on Daylance as the sole basis for financial decisions. Consult a qualified professional when you need advice.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Service changes and availability
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features with or without notice, including subscription offerings or supported platforms. We strive for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Disclaimer of warranties
Daylance is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of Daylance. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.
Termination
You may stop using Daylance at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
